This a important article about proposed regulation of psychotherapy in England. It discusses the dangers emanating from unregulated psychotherapy. More broadly, in the extreme, bad therapy can lead to the generation of false memories resulting in wrongful accusations. The idea that traumatic memories can be repressed is a cornerstone of psychoanalytic theory.’
